The aim of the proposal is to offer the Professional Certificate in Teaching and Learning (PCertTL) which is designed for practicing teachers who want to enhance their knowledge and skills in the art and science of teaching. There has emerged a large body of research that would be useful for educators in ensuring that their professional practice is based on scientific evidence especially with new generation learners who are digitally savvy and demand a learning experience that is both challenging and exciting.
As John Dewey remarked way back 2in 1930 that 'if we teach today’s students the way we taught yesterday’s, we rob them of tomorrow'. Putting it in another way, if we teach today’s students the way we were taught, we deprive them of their future
